Vienna’s signature amusement park, the Wiener Prater, is one of the city’s main tourist attractions for families. Open every year from March to October, the Prater is home to the iconic Giant Ferries Wheel, which offers a unique sight of the imperial city form a height of 60 meters. Other attractions in the Prater include the Liliput family train, the Planetarium, the roller coaster and the Prater Museum. Right next to the amusement park is the ‘Green Prater’, a park that was once an imperial hunting ground and is now open to the public with its large green areas, coffeehouses and restaurants.
